Sanjay Sharma's Bio

Sanjay Sharma, MD, FRCS, MS (Epid), is a co-editor-in-chief of Evidence-Based Eye Care, an international journal for eye surgeons. An Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, Dr. Sharma has authored three books and over 150 scientific articles that have appeared in the peer-reviewed literature. He has received numerous grants and awards for his research on macular degeneration, including those from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Sharma completed his medical training at Wills Eye Hospital and Harvard University.
